Indiana University Health’s Fishers Tower Expansion added over 200,000 SF of new hospital space as part of the campus’ transformation into a full-service healthcare facility. Durapods manufactured and delivered 42 prefabricated bathroom pods, including oversized labor and delivery units approaching 100 SF each. These larger modules incorporated integrated patient tubs and pushed the practical size limits typically achievable with bathroom pod construction.

As part of the project’s broader off-site construction strategy, the prefabricated bathroom pods supported accelerated project delivery while improving quality, coordination, and installation efficiency. By manufacturing the fully finished bathrooms in a controlled environment, the project team minimized field labor, reduced trade congestion, and helped maintain schedule certainty on this complex healthcare expansion. The result was a repeatable, high-quality solution that aligned with IU Health’s commitment to leveraging prefabrication and modular construction to improve project outcomes.
