Existing Tower Expansion

Geisinger Medical Center’s South Tower Expansion is an approximately 425,000-square-foot acute care addition and the largest capital project in the medical center’s history. The new 11-story tower includes 192 private patient rooms organized around standardized clinical planning modules, designed to improve operational efficiency, patient experience, and long-term flexibility.

Durapods is providing 192 prefabricated bathroom pods for the tower across standard patient, ICU, and person-of-size (POS) room types. A tower planned around repeatable rooms is a natural fit for standardized manufacturing.
